March 3rd, 2025 - Madrid, Spain. IXT, a pioneering full MVNO based in Norway, has chosen Summa Networks’ SDM (HLR/HSS, UDM/UDR/AUSF/UDSF, EIR), Policy Function (PCRF/PCF), and SMSC, key components of its Modular Core for Mobile, IoT & Private Networks, to power its next-generation network infrastructure. Summa Networks’ solutions are designed to be modular and flexible, enabling seamless integration with the latest technologies and ensuring multi-vendor interoperability. This allows operators like IXT to enhance their mobile services with greater scalability, adaptability, and efficiency.

With a growing demand for seamless connectivity and advanced network capabilities, IXT wanted to ensure their core network supported increasing customer expectations and future growth. Specifically, IXT was looking for a solution that would provide reliable subscriber authentication, efficient policy control, and high-performance messaging services while maintaining scalability and adaptability.

To meet these requirements, IXT chose Summa Networks, which offers modular and flexible solutions designed to integrate smoothly with existing systems. Summa Networks’ SDM provides secure and reliable subscriber authentication across all network bearers (2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G), ensuring seamless mobility and network integrity even when users switch between different technologies. PCRF/PCF enables convergent dynamic policy control for optimised network resource allocation, and SMSC delivers high-performance messaging services.

“We are thrilled to partner with Summa Networks to advance our core network infrastructure” says Henning Solberg, CTO and founder of IXT. “Summa Networks’ modular and future-proof solutions perfectly align with our vision of delivering global connectivity and superior services to our customers”

Summa Networks’ solutions are 3GPP compliant and ensure multi-vendor interoperability, allowing operators like IXT to evolve at their own pace while avoiding vendor lock-in. Its interworking capabilities with user plane partners such as Nokia provide the flexibility needed to adapt to changing network demands.

“IXT’s decision to implement our solutions underscores the trust that operators place in Summa Networks for their core network evolution,” said Javier Martín, CEO of Summa Networks. “Our solutions are designed to enable carriers like IXT to innovate and expand their service offerings with confidence.”

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies, reinforcing Summa Networks’ role as a trusted provider of telecom-certified solutions and positioning IXT as a key player in the industry.
