What is a global data pool?

Think of a data pool as a bucket of data that all of your SIM cards can share. A global data pool let's all your SIM cards use data from this bucket, regardless where it is located in the world. The data plan adjusts according to your actual needs. Flexible and cost saving.

What is a data pool?

A pool of data is all the data in your subscription pooled together for all your SIMs to use from. Let's say your data plan for your SIM cards is 5MB per card. With a dynamic data pool all the cards use from the same data plan and if you have 100 cards, that gives you a total of 500MB of data. During a month that means your cards can use up to that 500MB of data, but without the limits of just 5MB per card. With a data pool some cards might use more, and some less, as long as the total usage is up to 500MB. How much each card, and all cards combined, have used you can easily see by logging in to our CMP.

How does this help you save?

Imagine you have a data plan where you pay extra if you go over your limit on one or more of your SIMs. Those overage charges can add up fast! With a data pool, you're less likely to go over because you have that extra shared data to dip into. With IXT global data pool, all your SIMs can still share the same data pool. No matter what region or country they are deployed. That translates to easy management for you and lays the ground for easy growth and scaling in the future.

In Short:

  • Data pool: A shared bucket of data for multiple SIM cards
  • Global: Works all over the world
  • Saves Money: Helps avoid overage charges and dynamically adjusts your plan
